Ramla: Monument Commemorating the IZL Members who fell during the battles over Ramla in 1948

At the onset of the war on independence Ramla was an Arab city with a population of 18,000 residents.
The main route from Tel-Aviv and from Jaffa to Jerusalem passed through Ramla, Which was blocked for the Jewish transportation.
As part of the activities launched to take control of the Jerusalem route, The IZL (Irgun Zvai Le'umi - National Military Organization) members attacked Ramla.
