FAUNA IN ISRAEL

There are 116 different species of land animals in Israel,
compared with 140 in the whole of Europe.
Israel’s location on the migration route from Europe and Western Asia to Africa is responsible for the 511 bird species in the country. In addition Israel has 7 amphibian species, 97 Reptiles and
an estimated 30,000 species of invertebrates.
